Attorney-at-law in the White Collar Crime Team and the Corporate and Commercial Disputes Team. Magdalena specialises in representing clients in criminal law matters, with a particular focus on white collar crime and cases involving corporate entities in criminal proceedings. She acts as both defence counsel and legal representative of harmed parties in criminal, private prosecution and fiscal penal proceedings. She also represents clients in criminal enforcement proceedings.
Selected projects
- representing clients in proceedings concerning the alteration of documents evidencing shareholdings in a company with an estimated value of PLN 1.5 billion;
- representing and defending clients in proceedings concerning extortion, and the making of a false statement in a court ruling which established the existence of resolutions of a company with an estimated value of PLN 300 million;
- defending clients, including drawing up appeals, in proceedings relating to fraud, money laundering and fraudulently obtaining public funds of significant value;
- representing clients in cases combining elements of criminal law with issues relating to environmental protection and organised crime, involving the activities of the so-called “rubbish mafia”;
- representing clients in proceedings concerning the abuse of power and failure to fulfil duties by public officials, including drafting applications for the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) to initiate an investigation, and a complaint to the Supreme Audit Office (NIK).
