Attorney-at-law in the Litigation and Arbitration Team, the Infrastructure Team. He represents clients in proceedings before common and arbitration courts, in particular in complex infrastructure disputes, including those based on FIDIC standards. He has extensive experience in advising clients on complicated civil and commercial disputes before common courts, mediation proceedings and settlement negotiations. He represents both private and state-owned entities in disputes regarding infrastructure projects, real estate, and contractual and tort liability. Author of publications on civil proceedings.
Selected projects
- representation of one of the largest Polish developers of office premises in multi-million disputes with buyers regarding guarantees;
- representation of an investment fund in complicated court disputes encompassing more than ten simultaneous proceedings (value in dispute: EUR 50 million);
- representation of general contractors (including multinational corporations and Polish construction companies) in court proceedings against GDDKiA and PKP PLK regarding settlements of contracts for road sections and railway lines, and contractual penalties (part of the disputes with a value of over PLN 50 million);
- representation of public entities in numerous proceedings regarding e.g. refusal to recognise a judgment of a foreign court, release of seized goods with a substantial value from administrative enforcement, return of contractual penalties for a delay in the performance of a public contract, tort liability for actions taken by public authorities;
- representation of a global hotel chain in disputes with service providers and contractors;
- representation of large domestic entities (supplier of toys; the largest cosmetics wholesaler) in disputes regarding industrial property protection and unfair competition.
