Krzysztof Kaczor
Attorney-at-law, Head of the Corporate and Commercial Disputes Team.
Experienced litigator and legal adviser on strategic matters, treating every dispute as a complex project requiring a tailored approach. Krzysztof combines in-depth analysis of legal, business and reputational risks with the ability to anticipate scenarios and develop effective litigation and negotiation strategies.
His legal practice stands out thanks to a unique combination of criminal law expertise and extensive knowledge of commercial law and civil procedure. This interdisciplinary perspective allows him to identify potential criminal risks in commercial disputes and the consequences for a client’s business and reputation in criminal proceedings. Thanks to this comprehensive approach, Krzysztof is able to develop strategies that protect both corporate interests and the legal security of persons serving in company governing bodies.
He specialises in handling complex, multi-faceted civil and commercial proceedings, with a particular focus on disputes related to non-performance or improper performance of commercial contracts, implementation of IT systems, post-M&A disputes and investment agreements. His experience also involves handling cases related to unfair competition and corporate conflicts, including disputes between shareholders, challenging resolutions of company bodies, and the liability of management board members. Krzysztof represents clients at the pre-trial stage – including negotiations, payment demands, securing claims and attempts to resolve disputes amicably – as well as before common courts of all instances and in cassation proceedings before the Supreme Court. He supports clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings, aiming for an effective and strategically sound resolution of disputes.
His expertise is enhanced by many years of experience in broadly understood criminal proceedings, covering both typical criminal cases and white collar crimes, offences committed by public officials and fiscal offences. He gained this experience by representing defendants in court and supporting suspects during preparatory proceedings – arrests, interrogations, searches – at all levels of the public prosecutor’s procedures throughout Poland. In his practice, he has comprehensively handled economic and fiscal penal cases, in particular those involving empty invoices, participation in organised criminal groups, fiscal fraud and VAT fraud, breach of trust in business transactions, and misappropriation of property. He also has experience in cases attracting media interest, including those concerning unlawful assemblies, marketing medicinal products, and trading in tobacco products.
He represents clients both as a defence counsel and as a counsel for auxiliary prosecutors.
Krzysztof gained experience in renowned Polish law firms, handling criminal cases on a variety of issues as well as civil and commercial disputes.
He also worked in the legal team of an international consulting company implementing IT systems in the financial sector, which gives him a practical understanding of the realities of technology projects, compliance, and how the business works.
