Wojciech Bazan becomes a shareholder of JDP
Effective from 2026, Wojciech Bazan, Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Team and the Infrastructure Team, has become a shareholder of JDP Drapała & Partners. This is a formal confirmation of Wojciech’s position within the firm and a response to the growing scale and complexity of projects handled by JDP, including large infrastructure projects, high-stakes disputes, and legal advice on contracts for the supply of technologically advanced machinery and production lines.
Wojciech Bazan has handled some of the largest court and arbitration disputes in Poland, including matters concerning contract termination, contractual penalties, and contract price indexation regarding large infrastructure and industrial projects. He develops litigation strategies and acts as lead counsel in complex, multi-faceted disputes involving multi-million claims (including proceedings before international arbitration tribunals (ICC)) and investment disputes.
His experience also includes ongoing contract advice in infrastructure projects (including roads, airports, energy facilities and waste incineration plants), contracts for the supply of technologically advanced machinery, production lines and industrial robots, as well as projects for the defence sector. In 2025, he was ranked Up and Coming: Litigation by Chambers & Partners, and in 2023, he was listed among the “50 lawyers to watch on LinkedIn”.

New name of the firm
In January 2026, JDP Drapała & Partners sp.k. changed its name to JDP Drapała Chomiuk & Partners sp.k., reflecting the firm’s structure and management model based on the partners’ shared responsibility. The new name is a result of the firm’s growth in recent years, especially the strengthening of stable leadership in key areas of our activity. It reflects how we operate in practice and shows the strength of our practices and the long-term growth of our team.
For many years, JDP has grown under the leadership of Prof. Przemysław Drapała, who, as Managing Partner, is responsible for the firm’s strategic development and the shape of its partnership model. At the same time, the firm has been consistently investing in expanding practices requiring the highest level of expertise in handling disputes, including litigation and arbitration, infrastructure, industry and defence. It is within these practices that Wojciech Bazan plays a key role.
