Prof. Przemysław Drapała was appointed Managing Partner of JDP on 1 January 2020. The existing Managing Partner, Zbigniew Jara, who held this position since 2005, will continue his practice as of counsel.

Prof. Przemysław Drapała heads the Court and Arbitration Proceedings Team comprising 25 lawyers and the Infrastructure Team. He has 20 years of experience in representing Polish and foreign entities in proceedings before common and arbitration courts. He was an attorney-in-fact in several dozen complex court and arbitration proceedings, in particular concerning construction and infrastructural investments. Additionally, he successfully represents companies from the automotive and real estate industries, manufacturers and technology suppliers, as well as financial institutions. Prof. Przemysław Drapała was distinguished in the international ranking, The Legal 500 (2018, 2019), as Leading Individual in Poland in the field of Construction/Construction Disputes. He is an associate professor, head of the Department of Civil Law at Kozminski University in Warsaw, and author of over 80 publications on civil, commercial and arbitration law.
Marcin Chomiuk, Legal Adviser and Partner, has become the Head of the Transaction and Contract Counselling Team, which he managed together with Zbigniew Jara.
Zbigniew Jara, in the capacity of of counsel, will deal with selected M&A transactions, company law, restructuring, and above all, strategic consulting for businesses operating across borders between Poland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
