The support of JDP’s lawyers included the negotiation of the loan agreement, accompanying documents and security documents. The loan was provided cross-border by Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, based in Munich. The main asset securing the financing provided is a portfolio of ten retail parks operated by Trei Real Estate under the Vendo Park banner.
Maciej Chrzan (Partner) and Michał Urbański (Counsel) were responsible for the transaction on the borrower’s side. The project team was complemented by lawyers from the JDP Real Estate team: Daria Gromotka (Associate), Dominik Grzegorzewski (Associate) and Karolina Janczura-Królasik (Associate).
This is the third cross-border financing for the Polish market provided to Trei Real Estate by Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG. The first loan was provided in 2020 and another in 2023.
Trei Real Estate is active in the retail property segment (it is developing, among other things, a chain of retail parks under the name Vendo Park, which currently comprises 41 facilities) and in the residential property segment in Germany, the United States and Poland. Trei Real Estate’s residential development portfolio currently comprises approximately 2,500 units in Poland, approximately 2,000 units in the United States and approximately 1,150 units in Germany.
