JDP Energy and Renewables Team advised on regulatory issues of a transaction regarding one of the largest renewable energy projects in Central and Eastern Europe
JDP’s Energy & Renewables team supported the lead legal counsel, CRIDO, advising on regulatory issues of the sale by Lewandpol Holding Sp. z o.o. of the Kleczew Solar & Wind Park hybrid project with a total capacity of approximately 334 MW. The project is reported to be one of the largest RES projects in Central and Eastern Europe. The purchaser was Energa Wytwarzanie S.A., a company from Orlen Group.
On the part of JDP, Michał Drozdowicz, Partner, head of the Energy and Renewables practice, and Karol Brunejko, Associate, advised during the negotiations.
The team of the lead counsel consisted of the following CRIDO lawyers: Partner Przemysław Furmaga, Senior Associates Aleksandra Czarnecka, Andrzej Dunikowski and Filip Sobociński, and Associate Michał Tokarz. The support provided by Ergy, which additionally acts as Asset Manager for the Kleczew project, played a key role in the transaction for Lewandpol Holding. Ergy’s expert team included Michał Lewczuk, Ashu Jha, Marcin Kuprel and Jakub Wałaszewski. The buyer, Energa Wytwarzanie S.A., was advised by Bird & Bird whose team included, among others, Partner Rafal Dziedzic, and Senior Associate Mariya Borsuk.
