JDP has advised FREE NOW, the innovative operator of the intermediary application between passengers and taxi drivers in a comprehensive challenge, as from October 1st, the legal regulations commonly known as Lex Uber enter into force. The regulations introduce the requirement to obtain a license to perform road transport in the field of brokerage.
In addition to the license itself, intermediaries must implement a number of internal procedures to comply with the new law. This compliance must also be ensured at the application level to associate potential passengers with carriers.
A great deal of knowledge of the industry, internal processes as well as practical interpretation of the law, about which there is no practice yet to do, was required in order to provide the Client with the accurate advise and sufficient support.
