Thanks to the timely and efficient actions taken by JDP’s lawyers, a payment under a bank guarantee to a foreign company that was carrying out a construction and technological investment project was prevented at the pre-litigation stage. The investor requested the guarantor to make almost PLN 10m payment under a guarantee that was to expire shortly. However, reasonable and convincing arguments regarding contract, corporate, and procedural law convinced the guarantor to withhold the payment, and the investor to abandon its demand and enter into an agreement with JDP’s client.

JDP was represented by Marcin Chomiuk (Partner) and Adam Usiądek (Associate) from the Transaction and Contract Counselling Team, and Piotr Duma (Senior Associate) and Agata Ruszel (Associate) from the Litigation and Arbitration Team.
