Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Team and the Infrastructure Team. He represents clients in proceedings before common courts, in particular complex and multi-faceted proceedings regarding large infrastructure projects, including the construction of expressways, also based on FIDIC standards (claims for contractual penalties for contract withdrawal, contractual penalties for a delay in the performance of works and remuneration for additional and substitute works). He advises contractors, subcontractors and private investors on the execution of construction projects.
Selected projects
- representation of a general contractor constructing a section of the S-8 expressway in proceedings against an investor regarding the settlement of additional and substitute works, costs of the time extension and additional costs arising from an increase in prices of construction materials and contractual penalties charged by an investor;
- representation of a general contractor of a section of the Czarnków bypass (road no. 178) in proceedings against an investor regarding the settlement of additional and substitute works and contractual penalties charged by an investor;
- representation of a private investor in a dispute with a contractor regarding the performance of a contract for the supply and installation of key elements of a raw material transport system in the client’s production plant (sugar plant);
- representation of a defendant (a manufacturer of glass products) regarding an accident that happened during a renovation of the client’s production plant (glassworks);
- representation of a defendant (a bank) based in France in a dispute with the State Treasury regarding a bank guarantee.
